Holker Old Boys have the honour of being the first visitors to Emley in the new decade when they make the long journey from West Cumbria to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground in the NWCFL D1 North on Saturday (3pm)
For Emley, it's a chance to get back on the promotion trail after losing the derby on boxing day to Shelley, for Holker, a chance to put themselves in a position to make a push for a tip 4 place.
Form wise, both clubs couldn't be more different, Emley's defeat to Shelley was only their 2nd defeat since September, while Holker have hit a dismal run of form which has seen them win once since October, as ever with this league, anything can happen and form can easily go out of the window.
But despite the derby defeat on boxing day which was disappointing,Emley manager Richard Tracey is fairly happy with his team's lot at the moment,
"We have an incredibly tough January and February to negotiate, but to be in two quarter finals and 3rd in the league averaging two points a game before the Shelley match I think we’d all have accepted that at the start of the season"
There is a full interview with the Pewits' boss in the matchday programme on Saturday which is available on the gate and priced at just £1
