Emley go into Saturday's home league game with Daisy Hill (3.00pm) looking to get their top of the table push back on after two disappointing results, after a 2-2 draw at Bacup and last Saturday's defeat to struggling Atherton LR, Emley manager Richard Tracey will hoping for an improvement and for his troops to refind the form they have shown, Emley were on a 7 game unbeaten run.
A disappointed Tracey said "It had been a fantastic October, completing the month unbeaten, But the below par performance, at Bacup, (in which Emley were somewhat fortunate to come away with a point) compounded by introducing 3 new signings into the side, porobably disjointed us."
Emley then suffered a 3-2 defeat to Atherton last week, after taking an early lead, Emley found themselves 3-1 down and scrapping to get something out of the game, Tracey wasn't impressed.
"I was bitterly disapppointed as we allowed Atherton to grow into the game after having gone 1-0 up, something be we should have capitalised on, they deserved the spoils as we didn't come to life until the last 15, which was too little too late"
Daisy Hill come to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground for the first of 2 visits in November, with the cup game at the end of the month, looking to extend Emley's misery, having been on a mixed run of form themselves, and currently sit in 10th place, Emley took the points from the away fixture but will have to improve on their last 2 outings, as Tracey alludes to;
"We have a chance to get going again on Saturday and we must look to stop conceding goals, we need to improve collectively and maxmise our threat going forward, if we can put another run together, we can be in a great position in December"
Tracey again, praised Emley's supporters, who have followed them in good numbers all season," thanks again to the supporters, who have helped us get over the line recently and hopefully we can get the 3 points on Saturday"
