Emley face a crucial game this week when they travel to Crosby to take on AFC Liverpool on Wednesday (8pm) in a game that could have a big say in the promotion shake up in the NWCFL Division 1 North,
With both sides currently in the top 3 and chasing down leaders Lower Breck it could turn out to be a vital game.
Emley, having beaten Holker old boys on Saturday will be looking to keep up their good run of form which has seen them maintain their top 4 promotion push and also into 2 cup quarter finals too.
Liverpool, after an impressive autumn have lost their last 2 and have slipped below Emley to third, but with other teams stringing results together, it means the gap is closing all the time, so they'll be wanting a result to give them a boost.
With a busy few weeks coming up for both sides, it's now a case of holding their nerves and coming up with the results that matter now.

WHEN? Wednesday 8th January, 20.00.
WHERE? The Marine Travel Arena, College Road, Crosby, Liverpool
L23 3AS
WHO? AFC Liverpool was formed in 2008 by 1,000 Liverpool FC fans who had become increasingly frustrated at the cost and difficulty in obtaining tickets for Premier League matches. The mooted ‘39th game’, in which Premier League fixtures would be played in different parts of the world, proved to be the final straw as it clearly highlighted that those who ran top flight football were more concerned with money than its fans, they played their first game in July 2008.
They won the NWCFL first division cup twice in
2008/09 & 2009/10 and were also runners up in 2010/11.

OWT ELSE? There is a small car park at the Marine Travel Arena but this is unavailable to the public on match days. Parking is available on the streets around the ground, some of which is Pay and Display.
The Marine Travel Arena is one of the best maintained grounds in the NWCFL. It boasts a tea bar that serves hot pies and burgers as well as the usual range of hot drinks. The bar in the Graham Lounge is also open on matchdays and both Skysports and BT Sport are available. There is a large covered stand behind the goal, covered standing along one side of the ground and open standing behind the other goal.
