Emley are back in action on Wednesday when they face AFC Darwen (7.45pm) at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground in the first of 2 crucial league games this week.
After a weekend off for the Pewits, it's back to it this week, Darwen are the visitors to the welfare ground, hoping to avenge their 3-2 loss to Emley back in October and try and pull away from the bottom clubs, Darwen are currently 16th while Emley currently occupy the 3rd promotion place, but as with most games in this league they'll still have to be at their best to beat a team that despite being at the bottom end of the table have won their last 3, including impressive home wins over AFC Blackpool and Atherton LR respectively .
Emley's league game was a fine 3-2 success at Cleator moor 2 weeks ago and with a fine win over Daisy Hill in the cup last week, they will be wanting to keep up their good run of form as they enter a crucial part of the season, with promotion rivals to face in the next month or so.

WHO? AFC Darwen were formed in 2009 after the original Darwen FC folded, a lease was secured on the anchor ground and AFC Darwen were off and running the West Lancashire league, and re-admitted back into the NWCFL at the end of 2009-10, their most successful recent season was in 2014-15 they won promotion to the Premier league as well as winning the First Division cup.
