Emley are back in league action again on Saturday when they play host to Cumbrian side Cleator Moor Celtic at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground- 3.00pm.
After Wednesdays game at Bacup Borough was called off for a second time due to a waterlogged pitch, it will Emley's 3rd home game in succession following defeat to Winterton in the FA Vase and last week's victory over Nelson.
Emley manager Richard Tracey will be hoping to take the momentum of last week's win into this weekends game with their visitors from West Cumbria who have lost their last 4 games, including last week's defeat to fellow strugglers Garstang, in which Cleator Moor were 3-1 up inside 13 minutes only to concede 3 in the last 12 minutes!
Emley, will be looking to push on from that win over Nelson and make a strong challenge for the top 4 promotion places, they are currently in 11th place, but only 3 points off with 2 games in hand over some other teams.
But Tracey, will be looking for a similar effort and character as the Pewits showed last week when coming back from a 1-0 deficit to claim the points
"We looked for a reaction and a quick goal (early in the second half) was just what we needed, that settled us and enabled us to build into the game as we looked for the win"
Said the Emley manager about conceding a late first half goal to Nelson, but seeing his players show good attitude to earn all 3 points, he will be hoping they make life a bit easier this Saturday though!
