Emley look to put last week's disappointing FA Vase exit behind them when they host Nelson at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground this Saturday- 3pm- with league points the prize.
After a good win over Burscough in the previous round, Emley were left frustrated after 0-2 home defeat to Winterton Rangers last Friday, but now must look ahead and focus on 3 league points with a game against Nelson on Saturday.
After a disappointing 3-2 defeat against Pilkington, after leading 2-0 in the last league game, Managers Richard Tracey and Mark Wilson will be hoping for a better result and better attitude after Wilson was far from happy with the attitude of the players at Pilkington.
After 2 defeats, Emley will be hoping to start kicking on soon and moving up the table, they are currently 12th in the North West Counties First Division North, their opponents, Nelson are currently one place above them so 3 points will be most welcomed by the Pewits!
Nelson have also had a dip in form recently, after crashing out of the Vase in a 3-1 defeat to Red Star Seaham, they then suffered back to back league defeats by Ashton Town and AFC Liverpool. Before that, they had had 3 straight wins so are capable of putting a run together.
But Emley need to shake off their inconsistencies and start holding on to leads and putting in a full 90 minutes performances, something that they haven't managed much this season, the game at Pilkington being a case in point.
If they can manage that, starting on Saturday then surely they will be "Lording" it over Nelson!
