Winterton up next at the Welfare Ground

AFC Emley were on the end of another narrow defeat, this time 3-2 away at Selby Town, following on from 1 goal defeats to promotion chasing, Nostell and Hallam.
Emley, despite being 2-1 up eventually conceded a last minute goal to condemn the Pewits to a 3rd straight defeat, and their 4th in 5 games, all by 1 goal to leave them 12th in the Northern Counties East League Division 1.
They have a chance to end that run but face another high flying, promotion chasing team in Winterton Rangers on Saturday (3pm)
Emley had the first shot in anger when Daniel Naidole was just wide with a shot from 18 yards, but then George Clarke had to be alert, and was, a double save ended in a Selby corner, which thankfully came to nothing.
But then in the 9th minute, Clarke was beaten, Emley's failure to clear a ball was dealt with as Clamp fires home, Emley then got a decent foothold in the game as Selby's defence was put under more pressure, a fine save from keeper Montgomery from a Naidole free kick denied the visitors, Selby, came back, a cheeky lob went wide as the home side looked to double their advantage, Emley had the last word of the half though but Gregg Porter found the side netting instead.
H/T 1-0
Emley created a few chances and built a bit of pressure in the latter stages of the first half, but with no reward, they would be rewarded however, just minutes into the second half, James Hart smashed home after a shot bounced off the crossbar.
Selby then tried their luck, good control and a good shot is just over, Selby have a decent few minutes pressure on the Emley backline but they manage to hold firm, but Emley then take the lead a minute or so later, great work by Arnold Ndiweni, his left wing cross finds the head of Naidole who nets his 3rd goal in 4 games.
Unfortunately, Emley couldn't hold on, Clarke made a good save but the follow up was put away and it was all square again at 2-2, with time ticking down, Emley thought they had a good claim for a penalty, but the ref gave a corner instead, Selby broke downfield and Clarke was there to save Emley again.
But just as the Pewits thought they had bagged a well earned point, Selby broke their hearts! with only seconds remaining, and Emley attacking, Selby pinch the ball and score down the other end, it was a cruel blow and it meant Emley lose another game they probably didn't deserve to!
F/T 3-2
Unfortunately the games don't get any easier, 5th placed Winterton travel to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground from North Lincolnshire on Saturday hoping to keep up their promotion push, while Emley look to bag some more points that will ease any fears about getting embroiled in a relegation scrap.
