Naidole brace seals vital points

A Daniel Naidole brace gave AFC Emley their second home win in succession with a hard fought 2-1 over East Yorkshire Carnegie.
Despite falling behind to a controversial goal, Emley showed great character to get themselves back into the game and eventually hold out for a crucial win.
But the visitors had the best of the early exchanges, George Clarke was on hand to make a vital save from close range, and a few minutes later, he thought he'd done the same, stopping a close range header on the line, however on the advice of a linesman, the referee gave the goal amid Emley protests.
But Emley came back, Paul Pyke shot over, then Naidole saw a header go wide, Pyke again proved troublesome with a weaving run but his shot went over this time.
But the Pewits were soon back on level terms, good work by Ben Burnett on the left and a shot from Naidole nestled in the bottom corner with the aid of a big deflection.
Emley were in control at this point, and Gregg Porter tried his luck but saw his shot go wide and Pyke again was unlucky with another shot that flew wide.
H/T 1-1
Like the first half, it was EYC who started the brighter and they will probably have felt aggrieved that they couldn't retake the lead, first, Clarke, again was on hand with a terrific close save before a neat turn and shot inside the area cannoned off the crossbar to Emley's relief.
The game was end to end for a time with both teams giving their all, without many clear cut chances.
But one did fall to Ben Burnett, the Emley forward, like the visitor's a few minutes earlier could only look on as his shot also smashed a crossbar!
Emley then took the lead with a really eye opening goal, Michael Starkey had time and space on the left and whipped in a fabulous ball, Daniel Naidole timed his run and jump and headed empathically past the keeper to the delight of the
Majority of the 101 present.
As time ticked down, Emley managed to see off any attacks the visitors could muster before Shane Hamilton almost made it 3, a defensive error left him with a clear shot at goal but the EYC keeper pulled off a wonderful save to deny him.
Emley then saw out the remaining few minutes fairly easily to pick up a vital 3 points.
