Emley and Blyth Spartans played out a goalless draw in Northumberland to maintain our unbeaten away league record.
Both sides had chances late on in a game in which clear cut chances were at a premium.
Emley forced an early corner but was cleared and Lambton had to collect a Blyth header.
Manny Mampala saw an effort go wide as Emley created their best chance of the game so far as the game then entered a lull as both teams tried to gain an upper hand.
Emley woke up just after the half hour though and Mampala then had a shot deflected but the corner was cleared.
Emley then created another decent chance as Stacey's long throw led to Jaanai Gordon firing over.
Harry Sheppeard then showed some great defensive qualities as he stopped a dangerous Spartans attack by forcing a goal kick after cooly playing off a Blyth defender.
Emley then finished the half strong and forced a couple of corners but couldn't make any of them pay, Jannai Gordon also saw a shot hit the woodwork but neither side could break the deadlock.
Unfortunately Joe Stacey picked up a knock and was replaced by Kieron Ceesay just before half time.
H/T- Blyth Spartans 0-0 Emley.
Blyth had the best of the early second half pressure but Lambton had an easy claim from a close range header.
Emley's defence then had to be switched on to keep their goal intact as the hosts put them under pressure but Lambton controlled his area superbly.
Blyth had a good chance to take the lead but flashed their shot wide and there was a scary moment when Lambton was beaten by the bounce of a ball but Hayden Lindley was on hand to clear up.
Another Spartans effort sailed over as Emley looked to refresh things, as Sorhaindo replaced Gordon. Christie-Crainie then fizzed a shot wide from the right and was then replaced by Belchior Rodrigues.
Both sides then pushed for a winner in the last ten minutes, Emley just inches away from converting a flashing ball across the face of goal from Sorhaindo but no one could connect at the back post.
Emley then had to be alert to block and clear a header with a couple of minutes left as the hosts pushed on, but again, Lambton and his defence stood firm.
Last month, Emley stole three points from the other team in Blyth, beating Town with a last minute goal and they were inches away from doing the same to Spartans but Cowgill's header was cleared from off the line as Emley were close to stealing all three points.
But it's another clean sheet and another game unbeaten in the league away from home to keep us in the play off picture.
Our attention turns to the Sheffield and Hallamshire cup again on Wednesday as we make the trip to Kinsley Boys.
