Emley face an important week ahead as they look to progress into the semi final of the Sheffield and Hallamshire cup on Wednesday when they make the relatively short trip to Barnsley to face Worsbrough Bridge (7.45pm).
After a good spell of form in the league it's cup matters that take precedent for Richard Tracey's men as they look to progress in one of the oldest cup competitions in the world.
Despite playing in the North West counties league now, Emley and Worsbrough are no strangers, they were regular adversaries in the North East counties league before Emley were moved at the end of last season.
After the original game fell victim to a waterlogged pitch last week, it's to be hoped it's second time lucky
Whilst, promotion is obviously Emley's priority now, a cup semi final appearance is never to be sniffed at, especially in a cup where Emley have done well in the past, but as usual they will need to be at their best to book a place in the last 4.
Emley then travel to Blackpool on Saturday for a crucial NWCFL clash with AFC Blackpool

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic were founded in 1923 and played in local leagues including the Yorkshire league until 1982, "The Briggers" then became founder members of the North East counties league and have remained there ever since, they were formerly known as Worsbrough Bridge Miners Welfare but dropped the Miners Welfare and added'Athletic' in 2006.
