Bordman brace helps Emley progress in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior cup.

Emley overcame a pea soup and a stubborn Jubilee Sports side as they progressed into the 4th round of the Sheffield and Hallamshire cup 4th round with a 4-2 win at a foggy Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.
It was the second successive 4-2 win at home following last Saturday's win over Daisy Hill by the same scoreline, there was also another double from Rob Bordman, back after last week's suspension.
In a cold but clear start to the night it was the visitors from Sheffield who started the better of the two sides, and managed the first shot on goal but it went wide of Keeper Jake Barton's post, despite them having the better of the possession, they couldn't create anything of note.
But then the home side got into their stride and started pushing Jubilee back, a great pass from Donovan found Knight but he pulled his shot wide, Dawson, on one of his surging runs down the right flank also shot wide as Emley started to turn it on.
Finn Donovan was involved in most good things for the Pewits and it was he who tried his luck next, but this time the shot was saved.
Emley would have to wait another 10 minutes or so for the opening goal and it came courtesy of a defensive mix up, Skipper Jamie Price was only too happy to slot the ball home past the stranded keeper.
Jubilee hit back straight away though and good build up work was rounded off by a fizzing shot that went wide.
But then Bordman took over and set Emley on their way to the 4th round with a quickfire brace, first, he latched onto a great defence splitting pass to fire home and then 2 minutes later he made it 3-0, finding the ball at his feet inside the area he wasted no time in smashing it home for his brace as the half time whistle blew.
H/T 3-0
The half time break saw the fog roll in and the game was just about visible to most, although despite Finn Donovan wasting a good chance early on in the half there wasn't much to see as the game became a bit of a stalemate, with Emley happy to let Jubilee keep plugging away and trying to hit them on the break, and they did just that 7 minutes into the half as good work again by Donovan set up Jack Knight for a tap in at the far post to just about put the game out of the reach of the Sheffielders.
But, to the visitors credit they started to cause a few problems themselves and had Emley on the back foot, another shot went wide as the action was unfolded at the Warburton end where it was hardest to see!
They then got their reward when a free kick from right back Hobson from just outside the area was well struck and sailed over the wall and past Barton, they continued to cause Emley problems and the home side were relieved when a goal mouth scramble finally got cleared.
But they were rewarded with a second goal, a rebounded shot was tucked home well by Fox and the nerves were starting to jangle a bit for the Emley faithful, they thought they could relax when Eyles worked himself into a great position inside the box but his deft chip went over.
Bordman then looked for his hat trick as Emley looked to finish the game, but a shot omn the turn went wide, he then fizzed another one just wide of the far post, Eyles should thhen have wrapped it up after he was put clean through but his measured shot wasn't quite measured enough and it ran just past the post.
Jubilee never gave up and had another scramble cleared and also had a shot cannon off the Warburton end fence as time ran out.
In the end, Emley did enough, although the fog made things difficult, both teams helped produce a good, competitive game for the frozen fans present.
Emley are back in league action on Saturday when they travel to cougar park in Keighley to take on Steeton (3pm)
