Emley look to put the disppointment of Monday's disappointing 4-1 defeat to Golcar behind them as the road to Wembley begins when they entertain Burscough in the FA Vase 1st Qualifying round at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Sunday (3.00pm).

Emley's Wembley trail gets underway this Sunday with a visit from Burscough, who play a league higher than the Pewits in the NWCFL Premier Division, and currently lying in 14th place, with 1 win, 2 draws and 2 defeats from their 5 league games so far, although they did beat AFC Liverpool in the FA Cup.
The 2 sides faced each other in the FA Cup 2 seasons ago, also at Emley, with Burscough winning 3-0 in front of over 300, Emley will be hoping for another bumper crowd after their 2 home games this season have averaged 380.
Emley will certainly need to be better in both boxes as joint manager Richard Tracey alluded to after the 1-4 defeat on Monday, although Tracey is looking forward to the clash
"It's always exciting when a cup game arrives and it's one we're looking forward to, it will give us a good indicator of where we are, because of the higher placed opposition"
Tracey added
"It also gives us a chance to rectify Monday's poor result, the scoreline didn't reflect the result, but the game was lost in the two 18 yard boxes, we didn't take our chances and we didn't defend our goal well enough, we hope to put those issues right starting on Sunday and see us progress into the next round of the vase".
