After Saturday's dramatic, last minute 3-2 win over St Helens Town in the NWCFL Division 1 North which has pushed Emley right into the promotion mix, it's a week off league football for Richard Tracey and his men as they have a Fantastic Media Welfare Ground cup double to plan for.
First up, it's the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior cup when Emley will host St Joseph's Rockware FC of Worksop on Wednesday evening (7.45pm) and then Squires Gate make the trip from Blackpool on Saturday in the Macron League cup (3.00pm)
Both opponents are unknown to Emley, St Joseph's Rockware were established in 1984 and were formed from the Rockware glass company, and are currently 2nd in the Central Midlands Division 1 North with 4 wins from 4, so will be coming to Emley for the first time full of confidence looking to cause a cup upset on Wednesday!
Squires Gate, meanwhile lie next to bottom of the NWCFL Premier divsion and are currently in a 6 game losing streak, so Emley will be the ones looking to cause an upset on Saturday.
Although nothing will be taken for granted, a winning run is always good for morale and confidence and 2 more wins this week will hopefully see Emley carry on their good form in the league when it picks up again next weekend with some tricky looking games.
It will be straight to penalties for both games if they are drawn after 90 minutes, no extra time in these ties!
The Admission prices for both games are:
St Joseph's Rockware- Adults £4 Concessions £2
Squires Gate - Adults £5 Concessions £3
