The partnership marks the latest chapter in a growing relationship between the Huddersfield-based clinic and the Pewits, following years of practical support and off-pitch involvement. The North Light logo will now take pride of place on the sleeves of both Emley’s first team shirts, reinforcing a connection built on shared values, community focus and professional excellence.

Founded in 2010 and based in Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield, North Light Physiotherapy is a multi-disciplinary clinic offering expert care in musculoskeletal, sports and neurological physiotherapy, podiatry, and rehabilitation. With a team boasting over 100 years of combined clinical experience, the clinic is renowned for its patient-focused approach and deep ties to both NHS and private healthcare pathways.

Chris Liversidge, founder and lead physiotherapist at North Light, shared his pride at seeing the partnership reach this new level: “I am proud to see our name on the shirt of a club like Emley is a big moment for us. It’s a special connection, and we’re proud to be a part of it. Having our business represented so visibly means a lot, especially with a club that has such deep roots and ambition.”

The sponsorship follows a long history of involvement from North Light, who previously sponsored the home match day programme and provide support for player rehabilitation where needed.

Chris explains, this partnership goes far beyond a logo on a kit: “This isn’t just about getting a logo on a sleeve, it’s about showing our support for a club that reflects a lot of what we stand for. We’ve grown over the years, and so has Emley. There’s a sense of shared values and progression that makes this feel like more than just a sponsorship it’s a proper relationship.”

Club chairman Andrew Painten welcomed the announcement and praised the clinic’s ongoing support: “We’re delighted to have North Light Physiotherapy as our new shirt sleeve sponsor. Chris and his team have been part of the fabric of the club for years now not just as sponsors, but as trusted professionals and passionate supporters. Liversidge first became involved with Emley AFC in 2015, offering help informally based on his extensive professional background including 17 years in the NHS and a decade in professional cricket with Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. That quiet offer of help turned into a lasting relationship.

“I’ve been around the club for a long time now,” Chris recalls. “I wasn’t looking for anything in return, just wanted to give back. That turned into a lasting connection with the club, which has only strengthened over time.”

North Light Physiotherapy is more than just a physio clinic. With in-house podiatry, GP support, sports rehab, shockwave therapy, and antenatal care, it provides a full suite of services to the public including many in the footballing world. Their pitchside insight and clinic-based care have proven invaluable to Emley players recovering from injury.

Looking ahead to the new season, Chris is optimistic about the team’s prospects: “Last season was brilliant in so many ways. It proved we belong at this level. Emley has shown they’re building properly and that gives me a lot of confidence about the future. My hope is that the team can start strong and keep building toward that next big step.”
