It's finally back to league action for Emley when they travel to Doncaster to face Rossington Main in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division this Tuesday (7.45pm).

Following progress in the FA Vase and the narrow defeat at Alfreton in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup, it's back to the league for the first time since 13th September. That night saw a 1-1 draw at Albion Sports in Bradford. Since then, Emley have fallen to 14th in the NCEL Premier table - although with considerable games in hand following their cup exploits.

Rossington are 7th, following their 4-1 over Handsworth at the weekend. That was their 3rd successive win in the Premier division following their promotion last season.
Emley's 1-0 defeat on Saturday was the first loss in 11 games but they remain 3 unbeaten in the league.

The sides met in a pre-season game last season but haven't met competitively since a 3-3 draw in October 2020, the last season to be curtailed due to the pandemic. Emley went on to be promoted on a points per game basis that season.

Games between the sides have been pretty even over the years with 4 draws out of the last 5 meetings.

HOW DO WE GET THERE? From North via A1: Leave at Junction 35 Sheffield (M1) Scunthorpe (M180) M18. Take 1st exit at Roundabout onto M18 (N) Doncaster, Scunthorpe (M180), Hull (M62). Leave M18 at Junction 4 towards Doncaster A630. Take 1st exit off Roundabout towards Doncaster. 2nd Exit at Roundabout then 1st Exit at next Roundabout into Armthorpe. Follow the road through Armthorpe and take 1st Exit at next Roundabout towards Old Cantley, Rossington. (Signs are in middle of Roundabout!!) Follow this road through Old Cantley and 2nd Exit at next Roundabout onto Warning Tongue Lane. Passing Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Left.
