It will be a first visit for Emley to Mill Lane since 1977 when both teams were in the Yorkshire League, that league, merged with the Midland league to form the NCEL in 1982 and which both clubs were founder members.

Pickering have struggled in their first season back in the NCEL, following promotion to NPL D1 East in 2018, they were relegated to the Northern League 2 years ago and were transferred back to NCEL this season, The Pikes are currently 2nd from bottom but will avoid another relegation as Maltby have already taken the one relegation spot.

No such worries for Emley though who wrapped up the league title with 3 games to spare, although The Pewits have only picked up 1 point from their 2 game since clinching promotion, that was Saturday's 2-2 draw with rivals Golcar Utd, although the day was more about the celebrations as Emley received their medals and the trophy.

The sides have only met twice during the NCEL era, both at Emley, with a win apiece, Emley won the corresponding league fixture this season while Pickering won in the league cup in 2010.

Emley just need 1 more goal to hit 150 for the season in all competitions, hopefully 3 points will be picked up again to round the league campaign off with a W.
