Emley are back at home and back in league action on Tuesday when Lincoln Utd are the visitors to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground for a Northern Premier League Division one East clash (7.45pm).

It's the first time Lincoln have visited Emley since a NPL President's cup tie back in 1999, although there were two previous meetings in the NPL Premier, under the old Wakefield club in the mid 2000's.

This will be the first ever meeting under a recalibrated Emley, who will be looking for their first goal against Lincoln Utd since February 1984.

Lincoln are currently in 17th place in the table, following a 4-1 home defeat to Garforth Town on Saturday, meanwhile Emley have been out of action since a 0-2 FA Trophy defeat to Heaton Stannington 2 weeks ago and haven't played a league game since a 0-0 draw at North Ferriby at the end of August and are currently 8th in the table, currently unbeaten with 2 wins and 3 draws from our 5 league games so far. (although we did play a friendly against Rossington on Friday and won 1-0)

WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1938 as Lincoln Amateurs, taking on their current name in 1954 and played in the local Lincolnshire leagues before promotion to the old Yorkshire League, where they would become regular opponents for Emley, both clubs were founder members of the NCEL in 1982 before joining the Central Midlands League as founder members in 1986.

It was during their CML days that they made it to the 1st round proper of the FA Cup in 1991/92, their run ended with a 7-0 thumping against Huddersfield Town at Leeds Road, they made the first round again in 97/98, this time bowing out to Walsall by 0-2.

They rejoined the NCEL in 1992 and then joined the United Counties League before earning promotion back to the NPL as UCL South champions last season, the previous season saw them reach the semi final of the FA Vase, losing out on penalties to eventual winners Romford.
