Pewits look to extend run against The Dolly Blues.

Emley look to extend their unbeaten league run to three matches when Lancaster City are the visitors to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Saturday (3pm).

It will be a first meeting for 22 years and a first at Emley this century, when the sides played out a 0-0 draw in October 1999 with Emley assistant manager Steve Nicholson in the side that day.

Emley stopped a recent run of poor results with a draw at FC United and then finally, posting our first win since August with a win at Stockton Town last Saturday, picking up 4 vital points against teams in and around us at the bottom.

Lancaster are mid table and are an excellent side on their day but are seemingly inconsistent, they lost at home to Leek last weekend and also recently saw their FA Cup and Trophy hopes dashed by Bradford (Park Avenue) and Cleethorpes respectively.

Emley are out of all other competitions now following Tuesday's now seemingly annual defeat to Worksop Town in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Cup, despite playing a much-changed and youthful side, Richard Tracey will be hoping to recall some of his injured and rested players as we look for another three points to move us back up the table but The Blues will be wanting to do the same.

WHO ARE THEY?
Formed in 1911 as Lancaster Town through a merger of Skerton and Lancaster Athletic and started life in the Lancashire Combination League, they became Lancaster City in 1937 following city status granted by King George VI's coronation celebrations.

They joined the NPL in 1972-73, dropping into the NWCL in 1982 where they folded but reformed due to financial difficulties and were back in the NPL First Division by the end of the decade, 2003-04 saw them as high as Conference North, but financial difficulties once again meant they had to reform and start back in NPL D1 earning promotion back to the Premier in 2017-18.

They twice reached the FA Cup 2nd round and last appeared in the first round proper in 2004 where they were beaten by Milton Keynes, they play at the wonderfully named Giant Axe just outside the centre and are nicknamed The Dolly Blues/The Blues.
