A trip up north for the high flying Pewits.

Emley travel to North Yorkshire to face Knaresborough Town in the Northern Counties East Premier Division on Saturday (3pm).

Following on from last week's 7-1 win at Handsworth, it's Emley's second away game in succession following on from a remarkable run of 8 home games in a row.

Last week's win on the road in Sheffield was the perfect response to seeing the 19 game unbeaten run ended by a Boxing day defeat at home to Penistone, now Emley must look to build up another unbeaten run if they are to overcome Campion at the top of the table.

Emley are 2nd just 2 points behind Campion but crucially with 3 games in hand over their title chasing rivals, Knaresborough were the early pacesetters of the NCEL Premier, winning their first seven games but then faltered, winning only 1 of their next 13 games to slip down the table, but have now found some form, winning their last 6 games, 4 of those in the league, so they will pose a danger to Emley's chances of another 3 points.

Emley have had the better of things recently, winning 4 of the last 5 meetings, including the last 2 at Manse Lane, where Knaresborough seems to be a favourite trip for Emley's travelling support, Knaresborough's only win in the last 5 meetings was a shock 1-0 win at Emley last January.

Fun fact(s): Knaresborough's Sam Cook has scored an own goal in both of Emley's last 2 visits to Manse Lane ( he also scored at the right end in one of them too!), in fact, Knaresborough have scored an own goal in 3 of the last 5 matches between the sides.

Last time out:
Garforth T 2-2 Knaresborough (Milsom, Carr, OG) NCEL Prem, Att- 293
Handsworth 1-7 Emley (Jerome 3, Gooden, Walshaw, Metcalfe, OG) NCEL Prem Att- 259.
