It's another Yorkshire derby next up for Emley as we cross the Borough boundary and head into Calderdale on Wednesday to face Brighouse Town in the NPL Division One East (7.45pm)
It will be the 9th meeting between the two sides who are at opposite ends of the table, Brighouse are next to bottom with 7 points from their 10 games so far and Emley in 5th, currently in the play off places with 17 points from our 10 games.
Emley did a league double over Town last season, a 2-1 win at home in September was Emley's first win over Brighouse since 2009, that was followed by a 1-0 win at St Giles Road in February in a season that saw Emley finish in the play offs in our first season back in the Northern Premier League and Brighouse, finish in the relegation places but avoid relegation thanks to a reprieve for the second season running!
Emley's 0-0 draw with Hallam at the weekend was our third game unbeaten in all competitions, Brighouse ran pre season title favourites Matlock close before going down 2-1, after winning their first two in all competitions, Town then went nine without a win but ended that run with a 2-0 win at home v Bishop Auckland.
WHO ARE THEY?
Brighouse were formed in 1963 as a works team, playing the Huddersfield Works League, winning it numerous times between 1966 and 1975 before joining the West Riding league in 1975, they were renamed Brighouse Town in 1988 and were successful in the West Riding league and cups in the 90's and early 00's, eventually joining the NCEL in 2008, winning promotion to the Premier Division in their second season, they remained in NCEL Premier until promotion to the NPL was secured in 2014.
Since promotion, they have established themselves as a solid NPL D1 team, although the last two seasons have seen them finish in the relegation places only to receive end of season reprieves.
They are nicknamed "town" and play at St Giles Road in the Hove Edge area of the town which has a capacity of 1,000.
