Emley travel to Lincolnshire in the Vase

Following Tuesday night's dramatic extra time victory that saw Emley progress to the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup, we now look to make the same stage in the FA Vase competition with a trip to Brigg Town in the 2nd qualifying round on Saturday (3pm).

Emley beat Sandbach Utd in the 1st qualifying round whilst Brigg saw off Bacup Borough.
Both teams have a rich history in this competition, Emley, were beaten finalists in 1988 and beaten semi finalist in 1987, Brigg, have won the FA Vase on 2 occasions, 1996 and 2003.

Brigg Town are one of the world's oldest football clubs, founded in 1864 and have played in various leagues but since 2019 are back in the NCEL, a division below Emley in the first division and play at The Hawthorns.
The last competitive game between the sides was in 2018 in the NCEL first division.

Form wise, Tuesday's win over Mossley made it 9 games unbeaten in all competitions for Emley while Brigg picked up their first win in 7 last time out, 2 goals in the last 5 minutes were enough to see off Yorkshire Amateur in the NCEL league cup, but they are without a league win in 6.

The Pewits will be looking to advance past the 2nd qualifying round for the 2nd successive season while The Zebras haven't progressed beyond this round in 20 years.
