Emley welcome Bishop Auckland to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground in the Northern Premier League Division One East hoping to make it three home wins on the bounce and close the gap on the top two.

A win for the third placed Pewits will see them complete a league double over the two blues, who they hammered 4-0 at their heritage park back in September, however, Bishop turned the corner following that defeat and dragged themselves into mid table from the relegation places, they went 11 games without defeat following the Emley hammering, although they have lost 3 of their last 4 games.

Bishop Auckland FC were formed in 1886 as Auckland Town and were founding members of the Northern League, the world's second oldest league, playing in the Oxbridge colours of dark and light blue.

They have a rich history in amateur football, winning the FA Amateur cup on 10 occasions as well as the Northern League numerous times, they, like Emley, returned to the NPL after winning their league last season.

Emley have been up at the top for most of the season following promotion last season from the Northern Counties East League and are right in the mix for a play off place, with only 1 defeat in our last 7, that came against then leaders Cleethorpes Town away.

Last time out saw us dispatch Newton Aycliffe 3-0 at the Welfare Ground, with top scorer Amir Berchil finally finding the net again after a barren spell of 9 without a goal, Emley will be hoping that continues against the two blues this Saturday.
