After 3 successive away matches, Emley return home on Tuesday evening when Belper Town are the first visitors to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground for our return to the Northern Premier League with a clash in Division 1 East (7.45pm).

It's the first meeting between Emley and Belper since a 1997-98 FA Cup 3rd Qualifying round tie which saw Emley win 2-1 at the Welfare Ground, a win that eventually would take Emley to a momentous 3rd round proper tie at West Ham.

The sides were regular opponents during the NCEL days of the 1980's but haven't met in any fixture since that FA Cup game 27 years ago.

Belper Town were formed in 1883 and based in Belper, Derbyshire and are nicknamed 'The Nailers due to the town's nailmaking industry, and like Emley, were founder members of the NCEL in 1982 when the Midlands and Yorkshire Leagues combined, they won promotion to the NPL in 1996-97 and have been members ever since then, mainly in the first division, both stints in the premier league ended up with Belper finishing bottom and relegated back each time.

Both teams have started the season unbeaten so far with Belper having won all 3 of their games and sit top of the early league table and Emley posting 3 wins a draw from our first 4 matches.

Both clubs progressed into the FA Cup 1st qualifying round at the weekend, our Pewits putting in a tremendous performance to beat Trafford FC 3-0 away while Belper saw off Lutterworth Town 3-1 at home.
