Club reporter Hisham Riordan looks ahead to Saturday's league fixture.

After taking 7 points from a possible 9 in their last three games, Emley have momentum on their side as they welcome Grimsby Borough to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Saturday.

AFC Emley
After a shaky start to the season, Emley are picking up pace, and are proving to be a tough nut to crack.

That toughness was on show Wednesday night, when they became the first team this season to take points from top of the league Knaresborough Town, after playing out a 0-0 draw. A win over Grimsby Borough will see Emley leap frog their opponents in the table, and stretch their unbeaten run to four games.

One to watch
A player to watch out for this week is Lewis Dickinson. The striker is currently in great goal scoring form, having netted 5 goals in his last 7 league appearances. He should prove to be a problem for a leaky Grimsby Borough defence, that has failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 games.

Grimsby Borough
After claiming four wins a row to start the season, Grimsby Borough have been struggling for form as of late, taking just two points from a possible twelve after two draws and two losses in their last four fixtures.

Despite bringing in defensive reinforcements Josh Sunter & young prospect Joe Stuart over the summer, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 outings.

Managers Daniel Barrett & Andy Liddle will be hoping that six goal midfielder Jack Bradbury & six goal striker Daniel Trott can continue their fine scoring form and fire them to victory. A win over Emley this weekend would be a much-needed boost for the Wilderness Boys.

The Borough player to watch this week is dangerous Midfielder Jack Bradbury, who has found the net six times in nine appearances, bagging himself three man of the match awards in the process. He, along with his partnership with striker Daniel Trott will be looking to exploit Emley’s defence.
