We recognise that this news may surprise and possibly disappoint supporters, but Lambton’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season. As we have been unable to reach an agreement to extend it, the club would have faced losing Dec in the summer for nothing.

Lambton has been at Emley for almost four full seasons, notching up 172 competitive appearances in that time. We wish Dec well and thank him for his service.

We will update supporters on any new signings when possible, but there will be no further comment from the club until then.
