Skelmanthorpe Juniors were our special match day guests on Saturday as Emley hosted Maltby Main at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.
The U11s had a great time enjoying a pre-match kick about on the pitch, a half-time penalty shoot out and leading out the team before kick off.
Although Skelmanthorpe JFC are one of our club partners, you don’t have to be a partner to enjoy a mascot day. We welcome any junior club, school or other organisation for children up to the age of 12 to get involved.
How much does it cost? Zero. Zilch. Nada. Absolutely nothing.
What about tickets for parents and grandparents etc? Free. Yep. Each participant gets a ticket for 4 adults to accompany them.
What about the rest of the adults at my club/organisation? Bring them along as well. And you guess it. Also. For. Free.
What’s the catch? There really isn’t one. Come along. Bring the whole club. Enjoy the day. Your involvement swells the crowd and makes the atmosphere special. We know visitors support the club with purchases of food, drink, raffle tickets and merchandise but we also know many want to come back again. It’s a win-win!
How do I find out more? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange. We have limited slots available on a first come, first served basis but club partners get first refusal.
Sounds like we should be a club partner? Probably! Send an email to email@example.com for more information but a mascot day isn’t the only way the clubs co-operate. For example, we’ve provided footballs as a thank-you to one of partner clubs, we’ve hosted games for and between partner teams and our coaches have delivered special training sessions. We’ve also provided our expertise to partner clubs on everything from pitch maintenance to marketing.
Some small print: Of course, games can be postponed for circumstances beyond our control but we always honour the tickets for any rearranged game. It may not always be possible to get on the pitch before the game or at half-time if weather conditions are against us.
