Innovative local manufacturer to provide free season tickets for more than 1,500 junior footballers

Emley AFC is delighted to announce Holdson as the club’s new Club Partnerships Sponsor for the 2026/27 season.

Based just down the road in Skelmanthorpe, Holdson is an innovative manufacturing technology company developing advanced electrochemical polishing solutions for industry. Its UK-designed and manufactured electroform™ technology transforms rough metal components into smooth, precision-finished parts with rapid turnaround times, helping manufacturers improve quality, efficiency and sustainability.

As part of the new partnership, Holdson is funding free league season tickets for every registered junior player across Emley AFC’s affiliated partner clubs, giving more than 1,500 young footballers the opportunity to watch the Pewits throughout the 2026/27 season.

The initiative is designed to strengthen the connection between grassroots football and the first team, encouraging more young players and their families to enjoy matchdays at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.

Rob Lewis, Emley AFC’s Club Partnerships Manager, said:“One of our biggest ambitions has always been to build stronger links between the first team and our partner clubs. Thanks to Holdson’s support, every registered junior player will now be able to come along and watch Emley AFC league matches throughout the season completely free of charge.

“It’s a brilliant opportunity for young players to experience football in a fantastic environment, support their local club and hopefully become lifelong Pewits supporters. We’d like to thank Holdson for sharing our vision and helping make this happen.”

Commercial Director Andrew Painten added:
“This partnership is exactly what we want sponsorship at Emley AFC to be about. It’s much more than branding - it’s creating something that genuinely benefits our community.

“Holdson is an ambitious local business that’s making an impact on a global stage, so it’s fantastic to welcome them as our Club Partnerships Sponsor. Their investment will help introduce thousands of young people and their families to the club over the coming season, and we’re looking forward to building a long-term relationship together.”

Neil Dickinson of Holdson said: “As a business based in Skelmanthorpe, supporting our local community is incredibly important to us.

“Emley AFC has built something special, not only with its first team but through its network of partner clubs and commitment to grassroots football. We’re proud to support an initiative that gives more than 1,500 young players the chance to enjoy live football, feel part of the club and hopefully be inspired by what they see.

We’re excited to be part of Emley’s journey this season.

The partnership reinforces Emley AFC’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people across its growing network of affiliated clubs while working with local businesses that share the club’s community values.
