Cup clash for Emley

AFC Emley host Handsworth Parramore in the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA senior cup second round under the lights at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Wednesday evening (7.45 pm)
Parramore, were formed in 2014 through a merger between Handsworth and Parramore sports, ,and play their home games at Worksop rather than Handsworth due to the club buying the Sandy lane ground, are one league above Emley in the Premier Division of the NCEL, and currently sit 8th, despite a good start to the season, they parted company with their manager today in the midst of 2 defeats, the latest, an FA Vase defeat to Irlam at the weekend, but will provide stiff opposition for Joe Howson's men.
Parramore have spent the last 6 seasons in the Premier Division, and have finished 7th or higher in each of those seasons, so have a good pedigree, but Emley, fresh from a thumping double over bottom club Bolsover with 4-0 and 6-0 wins will be confident of upsetting their higher placed opponents.
Given the league placings of the 2 clubs, it's no surprise that there aren't many meetings between them, in their last season in Division one, Parramore ( then known as Worksop Parramore) beat Emley twice in the league, 4-0 at home and 2-0 at Emley.
Emley will be keen to progress in the cup but will know they will need to produce a very good performance on the night if they are to go through.
Kick off at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground is 7.45 pm, and should it be required, there will be extra time and penalties after 90 minutes.

Admission is £5 adults, £3 concessions and U13's are free with a paying adult.
