AFC Emley hope to put their recent county cup exit behind them when they welcome Glasshoughton Welfare to the Fantastic Media Welfare ground on Saturday (3pm).
Emley were well beaten,5-0 by a strong Handsworth Parramore side in the Sheffield and Hallamshire cup on Wednesday but will look to put that behind them in search of 3 vital league points that could move them up well into the top half of the table.
Emley are currently halfway, 10th on the table, their opponents are 9th but just a point ahead of the Pewits, who will go above 'Glassy' with a win, Emley's recent 10-0 aggregate double win over FC Bolsover has also boosted their goal difference somewhat.
Glasshoughton have won 3 out of their last 5 league games, including beating Emley in an entertaining game 3-2 last month, but have lost their last 2 games, in the FA Vase to Shildon last week and Ossett United in the West Riding county cup, but Emley will be hoping to repeat the last 3 seasons' fixtures, where they have won all 3 recent games at home V Glasshoughton.
