Emley AFC are delighted to announce that EFL side Rotherham United will visit the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Tuesday 14 July (7pm kick-off) for standout date in our pre-season calendar.

While this will be the first time Rotherham United have played at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground, it is not the first meeting between the two clubs. Emley AFC and the Millers have crossed paths previously in the FA Cup.

The game also holds special significance for current Emley manager Richard Tracey. It was against Emley that Tracey made his first-ever professional appearance for Rotherham United, Oakwell in an FA Cup tie between the two clubs. Nearly three decades later, he will lead the Pewits against his former club in what promises to be a memorable occasion.

With Rotherham United's excellent travelling support and strong local interest expected, supporters are encouraged to secure their place as early as possible.

Buying in advance is the only way to guarantee your place at the match. Depending on sales, the club will review the availability of on-the-day admission closer to the fixture date.

Carers tickets are available on request by emailing office@emleyafc.co.uk with your ticket order number and proof of eligibility - PIP, DLA, Attendance Allowance or a Blue Badge. You may also request a parking space but these are very limited.

A full range of food and drink outlets will be open around the ground, with both cash and card payments accepted.

A special souvenir match programme will also be available, priced at £3. Any remaining copies will be placed on sale through the club's online shop after the match, subject to availability.

Emley AFC play at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground, off Upper Lane, Emley HD8 9RE. Parking around the village is very limited so please park responsibly and consider car sharing where possible.
