Emley AFC are delighted to announce a headline pre-season clash as we welcome Huddersfield Town’s First Team to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Saturday, 28th June, with kick-off at 3pm.

This fixture marks a proud moment for the club, as we once again host the Terriers’ senior squad bringing league one football back to Emley for the second successive summer.

The friendly is the perfect start to preparations for both teams. Town come to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground under the guidance of newly appointed manager Lee Grant, the former Ipswich Town coach. This fixture will be his first game in charge, and he’ll be eager to get an early look at his squad and begin shaping his plans for the upcoming season. It’s also expected that fans will get a first look at any new Town signings as their pre-season campaign gets underway.

With the countdown to the new season fast approaching, this is a rare opportunity to see top-level professionals in action right here in the heart of the village. There will be a buzzing match-day atmosphere, and it's set to be an unforgettable afternoon for everyone.

The capacity at Emley AFC is 2000 and with a big crowd expected we encourage all fans to secure their place early. Tickets are now available online only via our ticketing partner Fanbase.

The concession rate is available to those in receipt of state pension, ages 11-16, anyone in full-time education or registered disabled.

There are no bookable seats in the main stand. Some seats will be reserved for VIPs, but all others are available on a first come, first served basis.

A special souvenir match day programme will be available to pre-order for £5 – a must-have memento for this high-profile clash. There will be very limited copies available to purchase on the day so make sure you add this to your ticket order when you book online.

On match-day, gates will open at 1pm and we encourage fans to arrive early and take advantage of the bars and food outlets within the stadium. Cash and card is taken around the ground.
