That’s another season over with. We are incredibly grateful to our fellow club officials, our priceless volunteers, superb management and our fantastic squad for a solid first season in the NCEL Premier Division. It’s had its ups and downs but, in the end, we might have taken where we’ve finished if you’d have offered it to us in July and certainly if we’d been offered it at Christmas.

It has been a tremendous achievement considering where we started. On the pitch the lads have put in everything that they have, and as Chairman and Vice-Chairman, they have done us proud.

To our fantastic supporters the biggest thank-you of all. Not only have you turned up in record numbers (4092 for league matches & 5260 for all competitions) to cheer on the team at home but also made many an away trip feel like a home game too. Just superb, we have certainly been making an impact in numbers and our team colours when we are on the road. We really appreciate all your likes, comments, shares and photos, we love to see it.

We’ve also been blown away by the very many positive comments you’ve passed on about our club. It’s heartening to know all our endeavours truly are appreciated and you feel at home at our Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.

Looking ahead, we have something to ask of you. We need your help, a spot of homework for you all for over the summer while we’re preparing for next season.

Emley AFC is a football club first but also needs to operate like a business - albeit one that’s not-for-profit, owned by its members and run by volunteers. There is a direct link between our income and any progress we can make both on and off the field. By doing at least one of the following, you’ll be helping to lay the foundations for progress next season and for many more to come. We need your support.

1. Sign up for our new lottery - the 500 Club
This new venture will launch in August. For your £10 per month (or more!), it’s a bit of fun where you could win a monthly prize of £500 but the rest will be ploughed directly into the club and help us achieve our ambitions. If you do just one thing, please make it this. Tell your friends, family, neighbours - you don’t have to be an Emley supporter to be involved. You may even win your contribution back! Find out more or Sign up here

2. Be a Sponsor
We’re very fortunate to have fantastic support from companies of all sizes and sectors. But we need more. We have a range of opportunities with prices to suit all budgets so take a look at our brochure, send it to a friend, family member or boss that may also want to spread the word about their businesses. Sponsorship could be backing one of our players which pays for some of their kit, you could be a match day sponsor and we dedicate the match to you or your business. Maybe you would like to see your board around our ground big or small for all to see which is captured by our photographers and visitors. We also like to recognise our sponsors on social media. Take a look at our offering and let’s partner up next season. View our Sponsorship Brochure

3. Become a season ticket holder
Season ticket holders are also members who are co-owners of the club. Pre-covid we had just over 50, we close the season with 103. Thank you so much if you are one of them. We look forward to seeing you in the summer at our AGM. By being a season ticket holder, you are able to use it on both first team and academy home matches. We’ll announce season ticket prices and dates in the coming weeks.

4. Tell people about us or share our posts within your network
Social media, at work, outside the school gates, in the pub - we know you love the club as much as we do, so share that with others whenever you can. We find that people who visit the club once, like what they find and come back again and again. You are our best recruiting sergeants - so be a proud Pewit! #UpThePewits

5. Join our club as a Volunteer
The club is run entirely by volunteer effort. Whilst we are blessed with a good number, there is always room for more. It doesn’t have to be a huge commitment. We can work with whatever time you can give - regular or occasional help! Every hour you can spare means we can do something we couldn’t do before or gives one of our existing regular volunteers one less thing to do or gives them a well earned rest. Find out more

We’re a very open club so if you want to find out more about any of the above, just get in touch with us - andrew@emleyafc.co.uk or marcus@emleyafc.co.uk

Thank-you for reading. Thank-you for your support. And remember, by doing at least one of the things above, you’ll be helping drive the club forwards - onwards AND upwards.
