AFC Emley are back in action on Wednesday evening when they host East Yorkshire Carnegie at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground (7.45pm) after a free weekend and not having played a home game since 9th March due to postponements.
Emley, dropped down a place to 13th after the weekends results, with East Yorkshire ironically, going above them, so a win would be extremely welcoming for the Pewits, who still are by no means safe from a potential relegation scrap in the last few games.
Emley's last home game saw them beat promotion chasing Winterton Rangers 2-1 and so they will feel confident of putting the visitors from Hull to the sword too.
With only 5 more games after this one, a win would just about ensure Emley go into next year's campaign still in Division 1 of the NCEL, but EYC also need the points to ensure the same outcome for themselves, the away leg in Hull in September ended 2-2, but Emley did the double over them last season, winning 4-2 in Hull and 3-1 at Emley.
But with only 1 win in 5 Emley will be looking for a confidence boosting win ahead of the run in.
