Dewsbury Moor FC boast open age teams for both men and women, and for this season will field an Under 23s development squad in the Featherstone centralised development league.

This plays a vital role in the Dewsbury community for recruiting and developing new footballing talent.

Like Emley AFC, the men’s squad secured promotion last season, the Moor are now playing in the Yorkshire Amateur League Division 1. The women’s team was founded as a post-covid mission to get back to exercise and now boasts over 30 players and will be looking to challenge for promotion in the West Riding County Women’s Football League.

Dewsbury Moor FC Chairman Jamie Williams said: “We look forward to sharing ideas, skills and knowledge of football and developing relationships with different communities, cultures and audiences associated with Emley AFC and Dewsbury Moor FC. As an Amateur club formed only two years ago, Dewsbury Moor has an initial ten-year structure/plan and partnership working with semi-professional football clubs, so we look forward to giving back to the community by working closely with Emley AFC! Providing opportunities to our Men’s, Women’s and Under-23 development teams with a club as big as Emley AFC and their philosophy will only help us learn and develop as a club. Seeing how passionate and loyal the fans of Emley AFC are excites us as a club, and when Dewsbury Moor players are not playing our own matches, we hope to be part of the Emley AFC fanbase!"
