Club Admin7 Aug - 14:00

Important notice ahead of the new season.

Emley AFC would like to remind all supporters of the standards of behaviour expected at all matches home and away.

This reminder follows correspondence from The Football Association alleging the use of discriminatory language at an away game in March. Although The FA has decided not to issue a formal charge against the club at this time, the message from them is clear: the behaviour of our supporters is being monitored, the club remains responsible for their conduct at all fixtures, and we could face disciplinary action from The FA should similar incidents occur in the future.

The incident as reported has not been proven but, if accurate, we believe it to be an outlier of otherwise exemplary behaviour. But the behaviour of a small minority, in this case likely just one person, can have severe repercussions for the whole club so we are not willing to shrug this off.

Let’s be clear: Discriminatory language or behaviour of any kind has no place at Emley AFC or in football.

Individuals found to be engaging in such conduct may face bans from future fixtures and be reported to the authorities.

The club is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. We ask every Pewit - whether at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground or on the road - to uphold these values and help protect the reputation of Emley AFC.

Let’s stand together, support the team the right way, and ensure Emley AFC remains a club we can all be proud of.

Up the Pewits.
