Chairman Nigel Wakefield's Porgramme Notes from the Rossington Game

Welcome everyone to our last home fixture of the 2017-18 NCEL 1st Division season, here at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground, Emley.

Today we play host to Rossington Main, we trust the players, officials and supporters enjoy there short stay with us and have a safe journey home after the game.

Rossington are in a similar position to ourselves in the league. Laying in midtable with nothing to play for other than pride and try to accumulate as many points as possible.
Our last three fixtures have resulted in zero points and no goals scored. We have scored the same number of goals as Rossington and conceded only three goals less. This game you would put down on the pools as a no score draw. I do hope this is not the case. I expect our lads to go out today and show some Emley fighting spirit and show our loyal supporters they are worthy of pulling on the shirt. Playing with pride and passion, getting a result and show our Manager why he should retain them for next season.

As this will be the last programme of the season, can I take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for turning up week in and week out, Home and Away. Supporting the team in this which has been a testing time for us all. We know that certain areas of the squad need strengthening and hopefully this will be achieved for season 18-19.
I would now like to thank all the hard working !VOLUNTEERS! who without them we would not run this club ( or any of the other clubs).

So when you walk round the ground and its litter free and the toilets are clean. The bar and lounge are tidy, the dressing rooms showers are clean before every game. You are served good food at competitive prices, in a FIVE STAR rated hygiene environment. There is no magic wand, its the volunteers and the hard work that is put in behind the scenes. So if you get the chance, give them a pat on the back and say thanks. It makes all the difference.

Enjoy the game
Hope to see you all next season
