Omar joined Emley AFC last year as Assistant Manager to Dominic Webster (Former Under 18 Manager) but will now step up to lead the age group, whilst still supporting Dom with the Under 23s in his new role as Academy Manager and U23 Manager.

Director of Football Marcus Pound said: “Omar has impressed us over the last 12 months and his appointment means we have a great team heading up both age groups within the Emley Academy. This is great news for the club and for the players as Dom and Omar will work ‘hand in glove’ to support their development. This will significantly strengthen the pathway from U18 to U23 and prepare players for the demands of first team football.”

Emley Academy Manager Dominic Webster said: “Omar was the outstanding candidate due to his attention to detail and commitment shown during the last 12 months as my Assistant Manager. I'm excited to see him lead the under 18s and continue as a coach with the under 23s during this time exciting time for the Academy.”

Omar Sinclair has already hit the ground running with pre-season already in progress, he said:" I'm delighted to be announced as Emley’s under 18s manager, this is the next chapter of my coaching journey, and I'm thankful I have been trusted here at Emley AFC.

The experience gained last season working alongside Dom and seeing the success of players graduating through the pathway, this is what we will continue to work towards with the Under 18s.

It's been an excellent first week working with the under-18s in pre-season. We have retained a core group of players, and they have been joined by some new players recruited in our recent trials, who I know will work hard to see what they can achieve."

Additional coaches to support Dom and Omar will be announced in the coming weeks as the Academy continue pre-season preparations. The Under 23s expect to remain in the West Riding FA Development League Premier Division and the Under 18s in the Junior Premier League.
