After a 2-0 away loss to Brigg Town put an end to their hot streak, AFC Emley will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Swallownest FC Monday Evening, their first of three home games in a row, and first of three games in the space of five days.

The last time these two teams played each other, Emley were convincing victors, putting seven goals past Swallownest in a 7-1 win, including a hattrick from Tabby Magida.

Jordan Townend is this week’s player to watch for the home side, with six goals to his name this season, he is a proven threat in front of goal.

Swallownest are coming into this game on the back of a defeat too, after a 3-1 loss to Shirebrook town. They will also be looking to bounce back and get a positive result at Emley’s expense. The visitors sit two places but only one point behind Emley, and a win would see them leapfrog the Pewits in the table. Swallownest also have a game in hand.

Similar to Emley, Swallownest have a busy schedule, their trip to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground is the first of four away games in a row, all of which are played in the space of 8 days.

A player to watch out for this week for the visitors is Nathan Morritt. He seems to be finding form, with two goals in Swallownest’s last three games.
