Sykes goal came in a goal mouth scramble caused by a well-delivered Michael Tunnaliffe freekick. Jordan’s goal was an emphatic finish as he was quickest to react to a rebounded shot, leaving the Selby defence frozen.

After benefitting from 2nd half conditions the previous Saturday, AFC Emley struggled to clear the ball from their own half during the second period at a blustery Selby.
Emley had ‘keeper Adam Lawlor to thank for preserving the advantage with a series of saves and well timed runs out to clear the danger.
But the pressure built up and there was an inevitability about the equaliser when Selby Town’s Steve Lyon hit the back of the net with 9 minutes to go.
