AFC Emley moved up to 2nd in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Division One table after slaughtering Worsbrough Bridge Athletic 6-0 on Wednesday night at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.
The victory extended their unbeaten league run to nine and left them as the division’s top scorers.
Ashley Flynn also extended his lead as the league’s top scorer with 29 in all competitions after his quartet.
Kieran Ryan and Aaron Joseph also scored to add insult to injury for the visitors.
But Darren Hepworth is insistent that his players must remain calm ahead of a tricky schedule.
Strugglers Westella & Willerby travel to Huddersfield on Saturday, but Hepworth says every game is a test.
It was Emley’s second biggest league attendance on the season (176) and those who braved the Baltic, blustery conditions were treated to a barnstorming game of football, kick-started by Joseph’s fourth minute goal.
Flynn added two almost identical goals before Kieran Ryan tapped in on the cusp of half-time.
Worsbrough goalkeeper Josh Herring was the difference between a battering rather than an complete and utter embarrassment, with great saves to deny Flynn and Schofield.
But Flynn grabbed another via the penalty spot before claiming his fourth with ten minutes to go.
