Goals galore as Emley bring home the points from Mansfield

This time it was Emley's turn to frustrate their hosts as Ashley Flynn struck yet another hat-trick to take his tally to 49 for the season. Alex Hallam and Jordan Coduri completed the scoring for the visitors.

It took just 6 minutes for Flynn to grab his and Emley's first when his 25 yard free kick was spilled by 'keeper Jason White.

The lead didn't last long with Mansfield's Chris Timons header making it 1-1.

After Ruben Jerome went close, Flynn got his second through a sweet finish on 25 minutes when it looked like the Emley attackers had made a hash of a good spell of possession.

Six minutes into the second half and Alex Hallam made it 3-1 to Emley with his third goal in two games. But again the end-to-end game brought hope for AFC Mansfield with Danny Williams punishing some Emley defending.

If there was a slice of luck involved in his first, there was pure class as Flynn completed his hat-trick in style with a free kick curled into the top corner leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

A nervy finish looked in the offing moments later when, first, Ryan Williams pulled one back for the Bulls and then an apparent equaliser was ruled out for offside.

With 10 minutes to go Jordan Coduri's low drilled cross evaded everyone to restore the two-goal cushion and Emley saw the rest of the game out.
