Ashley Flynn scored five goals as AFC Emley recorded a historic 10-0 victory over Winterton Rangers.

Kieran Ryan and Paul Spicer both scored braces while Jordan Coduri scored a wonderful solo goal in a recorded breaking victory at the Welfare ground. The scary thing is that it should have been more.
The club have now scored 26 goals in their last five games. The goal scoring began just seconds after kick off when Flynn tucked the ball into the bottom right hand corner thanks to Coduri’s low cross.
Flynn then turned provider when he floated an excellent cross to Spicer who passed the ball into the empty net and Emley were in cruise control with the just five minutes played.
They were out of sight when Ryan smashed the ball into the roof of the net after a corner which made it 3-0 despite only playing 13 minutes.
Emley never took their foot off the gas and were still searching for goals and got one just before half time when Spicer got his second of the game when he drilled the ball in from the left after a nice move from Emley.
It could have been more than 4-0 at half time with Flynn and Ryan both coming close with a header and a shot cleared off the line respectively. Ryan could have had a penalty after he was caught in the box however he stayed on his feet which appeared to influence the referee’s decision.
Emley then embarrassed Winterton in the second half. Michael Tunnacliffe won the ball in midfield and put it through to Coduri who burst into the six yard box and squared the ball to Flynn who tapped in his second of the game.
Flynn completed his hat trick on the 59th minute after Ryan won the ball back on the right and his cross found Flynn who had a clear sight off goal and found the net from close range.
Arguably the goal of the game was scored two minutes later when Coduri picked up the ball in midfielder, skipped past three Winterton defenders and took the ball round the keeper to score a beautiful solo goal.
Ryan became the third player to score twice or more on 73 minutes when Flynn raced on to a loose ball on the right and squared the ball to Ryan who was one on one with the keeper and executed the chance with ease.
Flynn scored his fourth and Emley’s ninth five minutes later when substitute Jack Cooper picked him out with a cross and Flynn was able to turn and rifle the ball into the net. Emley then got into double figures when Flynn tapped in Jordan Townend’s cross to score his fifth of the game a minute from time.
Flynn will be disappointed he didn’t have a double hat-trick when he tried to chip the keeper earlier in the second half. Ryan will also feel he should have come away with a hat-trick when his close range effort was saved.
Substitutes Sam Scrivens and Robbie Graham both came close to getting in on the act as well. Both forcing top class saves from the keeper with their efforts from distance.
It was the perfect performance from Emley but they were helped from the fact Winterton offered very little. There only real chance came when Ben Silburn hit the post despite it being an open goal after a slight mix up at the back for Emley.
Nevertheless 10-0 was the least Emley deserved which is a credit to the way they played.
