Trailing 1-0 at the break, Emley hit back early in the second half with a sweet strike from Ruben Jerome and a tap in from Steven Kenworthy. The lead lasted only a minute when Teversal equalised from the penalty spot but then the visitors surged ahead with a 30 yard strike from midfielder Josh Ingham, Ashley Flynn making his return to Emley as a second half substitute and an injury time penalty from captain Paul Sykes.
Emley’s attentions are now on two home fixtures in cup competitions with Widnes FC the visitors in the FA Vase on Saturday followed by Frickley Athletic in the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Challenge Cup on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the club’s Under 19s recorded a 7-3 victory at home to Ossett Town on Monday whilst the club’s Development Squad look to retain top spot in the Lancashire League with a trip to Eccleshill on Friday evening.
