Emley look for away win to close the gap.

AFC Emley travel the short distance to the border of Rotherham and Sheffield for their Northern Counties East League Division 1 fixture with Swallownest on Saturday (3pm) eager to add to their last outing when they beat promotion chasing Winterton Rangers 2-1.
With Emley currently sitting in 12th position, their hosts are one place above them in 11th but with a 7 point gap between them, so Emley will be looking to close the gap with another 3 points.
Due to last week's game against Armthorpe becoming the victim of storm Hannah, Emley's players and staff were left kicking their heels with no game to try and build momentum from that dramatic last minute 2-1 win over Winterton in their last game, although Swallownest may see it differently after 2 heavy defeats to Grimsby Borough and Hallam respectively.
Emley fans will be hoping for a repeat of last season's game at Swallownest, where, after a close first half, the Pewits ran riot in the second half, a hat-trick from Tabby Magida and a brace from Lewis Dickinson sealed and emphatic 7-1 away win, though that's highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened!
Both teams come into the game with similar form, both have won 2 and lost 4 of their last 6 games, although Emley have a slightly better goal difference.
With a good away following behind them, Marlon Adams and Darren Hepworth will be hopeful of picking up another 3 points.
