New year, New era for Emley!

AFC Emley will look to start the new year on a high with a trip to Sheffield to face high flying Hallam FC on Saturday (3pm).
It will also be a new management team on the bench, after the departure of Joe Howson and coach James Mahoney this week, first team coach Marlon Adams will take over as interim manager with former manager Darren Hepworth as his assistant, with further announcements to come regarding the future.
But the immediate future is Saturday, with Emley picking up only 1 point in a torrid December, culminating in last Saturday's 1-4 home trouncing by Ollerton Town, that has seen the club plummet down the Northern Counties East Division 1 table to 15th and with fears of a relegation battle looming, and against a side currently in 4th and with the 2nd best attack and 5th best defence in the league, it will be a tough ask for the Pewits, who won this fixture last year in an end of season thriller 4-3.
Hopefully Adams, can get his team rallied for a crack at a good second half of the season, and shore up a defence that has leaked 11 goals in it's last 3 games and 42 in all this season.
For anyone wanting to go and cheer on the team the address is:

Sandygate, Sandygate Road, Crosspool, Sheffield, S10 5SE
Admission is £5 Adults, £2.50 concessions and U12's are FREE with a paying adult
